Marissa Ferrari is a strategic communications expert with more than 15 years of experience, including five years as Director of Marketing at Denver Public Schools and one year as Senior Director of Communications at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
During her tenure at DPS, the district became the fastest-growing urban school district in the nation and the largest school district in Colorado. Marissa worked directly with Superintendent Tom Boasberg and his leadership team to develop communications strategy and implementation for the district’s highest-priority initiatives. That work included the launch of its unified enrollment system, which went on to be rated as the #1 common enrollment system in the United States by Brookings Institution, as well as a series of comprehensive reforms aimed at school quality, access and equity.
Marissa specializes in communications strategy and messaging, and offers complementary expertise managing teams focused on marketing, digital communications, internal communications and employee engagement, and leadership development.
